Any time I get asked an interesting question I try and add it here so that others can maybe find the answer here before going crazy! The turntable keeps spinning when the record has reached the end

Most record players come with Auto-Stop feature which will stop the turntable when the player reaches the end of the album. There is a switch for this and when turned off the player will keep spinning until powered off. It is better to keep the auto-stop on as it will save your needle from over use. The only time I turn off the auto-stop is when the artist has squeezed an extra tack at the end and the player thinks the record is finished and stop before the end of the song.

The RCA line out plugs don't seem to be working

The record player has a small switch on the bottom that enables the rear RCA Line out plugs. This will disconnect the Bluetooth and force the record player to output through the line out.

How do I adjust the counter weight on the tonearm?

The counterweight just adjusts the amount of downward force on the needle. The stylus that comes with this model requires about 2.5g of pressure. Using the marks on the dial move it to 2.5 and that will be roughly where it needs to go. If you want to be more precise about it (and it is way better for your records as well) then you can purchase a Stylus Force Gauge Needle / Pressure Calibration Gauge which you can use to finely calibrate the needle pressure.

One of the speakers sometimes cuts in and out?

Just double check the speaker connections at the back. Make sure the black and red go into the corresponding coloured connector. Also, just make sure the connector is making contact with an exposed part of the wire. These "Old School" connectors can be a little tricky but when they are in they are in 🙂 This video shows the connectors for this type of speakers

I placed the platter on the player but it doesn't spin

If the platter comes packaged separately then you will need to pull the belt over the motor spindle. Check the instruction manual for complete instructions but basically after the platter is fitted there is a small access hole - line this up with the brass spindle and use your fingers to pull the drive belt over the spindle.

The power button doesn't work after a while and I have to keep pressing the power button

Some of the record players have a small push button at the back that presses in for power on and presses out to power off. If the player sits idle for 10 mins then the unit powers off. When you come to turn on next time and press the power button you are actually turning off. If this happens just ensure the button is returned to the power off position and leave off for 8 seconds and then it will power back on immediately.
